Pianist Mark Wright will present “What Ridgewood Sang: 200 Years of Music-making” at the Schoolhouse Museum 650 East Glen Avenue, Ridgewood on October 4, 2017, at 7:30pm. He will draw on his huge collection of sheet music from the 1700’s to the present when he entertains us with music from 1765 through the 1960’s. Mark Wright is a jazz pianist who began performing at the age of 13 and has lectured/performed in 30 states and Europe. He taught English and Humanities at Northern Valley Regional High School for 34 years during which time he garnered many state and national awards for teaching, culminating in being honored at the White House as a Distinguished American Educator. He has worked with students on many historical restoration projects in Demarest.
