In 2019 the Bergen County Quilt and Coverlet Show Committee contacted every museum in Bergen County to invite them to participate in a quilt and coverlet show planned for September 2020. The committee visited the museums that responded to view their collections. The show could not be held, but the committee continued to photograph the selected quilts and coverlets to create a catalog. The result is a 160-page full-color, hardcover book featuring quilts and coverlets from 17 organizations as well as items from 13 private collectors. Interwoven with the photos of the quilts and coverlets are stories and photos about the people who owned them. The show will be scheduled as soon as it is safe for people to gather, but meanwhile, here is the catalog. It will delight quilters, historians, genealogists and art lovers.
